About the Hermit Club

History - Act - Sing - Dance - Play - or Just Enjoy

Founded in 1904 and nestled directly behind the State Theatre in downtown Cleveland, The Hermit Club is one of the nation’s oldest continuously operating private social club for performing arts. The Club is home to many amateur and semi-professional actors, singers, musicians, performers and others.

Since its founding, Hermits have enjoyed the thrills of performing, applauding, laughing and spending time with fellow Hermits and friends. Learn more about our History
